We are excited to announce that LMS will once again be participating in the HCS 21st Century Summer S.T.R.E.A.M. Program!

Saturday School

HCS has a remediation program that will take place over 5 consecutive Saturdays, beginning April 17th on-site at Lindsay middle school. The purpose of the program is to provide remediation opportunities beyond the school weeks in the areas of reading and/or math prior to the administration of this year's SOL tests.

Morning Option: 8:30am - 10:45am

Afternoon Option: 11:45am - 2:15pm

*Lunch will NOT be provided. Please plan accordingly.

Program Dates: 4/17, 4/24, 5/1, 5/8, 5/15

#Eyebombing Virtual Literacy Night Registration Link

Students and Parents will strengthen their social-emotional skills through this interactive photography and writing activity with Ms. Torres, Lindsay's Family Engagement Specialist.

Title I Family Engagement Program in collaboration with the Education Committee of the Zeta Delta Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., has created this experience for our families to explore jazz music, through virtual listening sessions and conversation.

Research shows that listening to music provides the following benefits:

  • Improve Cognitive Performance

  • Reduce Stress

  • Improve Your Memory

  • Improve Motivation

100 Dresses

Students were invited by the Hampton Chapter of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority to attend the play "100 Dresses" performed by Hampton University students at HU. The Deltas paid for the student's tickets and purchased dresses for each of the 35 female 6th graders. The following day three of the students wore the dresses that they were given.

Hampton City Schools is going “greener” by implementing a new procedure for disseminating flyers. As part of our efforts to be more environmentally friendly, to embrace innovative technology, and to reach more families, we are moving to a digital flyer delivery method using the company, Peachjar.
